Thailand offers several long-stay tracks. Which one fits depends on three things: whether you work and from where, how old you are, and how much capital or income you can show.

And what about entering without a visa?

From 15 September 2026, visa-free entry is for up to 30 days, for tourism purposes only, and up to twice per calendar year. Anyone planning to stay longer than that or to come more than twice a year needs a suitable visa. For every entry you must fill in the digital TDAC form free of charge on the official website, up to 3 days before arrival. More on the exemption.

How to choose

Eligibility is determined solely by the Thai authority.

Health insurance

We recommend buying health and travel insurance for every trip abroad; for a long stay, it's worth getting a policy designed for long stays.

Official fee vs. service fee

The official fee is set by Thailand, is non-refundable and is not up to us. Visatiq's service fee, if you choose the service, will be shown separately and clearly before payment. Submitting an application does not guarantee approval.
